The price for a translation depends on various factors, such as the format(s), the contents and the quality of the source document(s). The time allowed from a given purchase order to the required delivery date may also affect the price. This entails:
Assignments exceeding NOK 5000.00 require an advance payment of 50 %. The remaining amount is due as invoiced, usually ten days upon delivery.

| Translation Memories (TM) and glossaries | TMs and glossaries compiled during the translation process are the property of HETRA unless the client purchases them. |
| 3. General Information | |

| The rates for translation assignments require that source texts be provided in a file format that can be edited with common text editing software (e.g. Microsoft Office or Open Office applications, Hyper Text Markup etc.). | |
| For documents received as hard copies or computer files in formats that need to be converted before the text can be edited (e.g. PDF-files, image files such as GIF-, JPEG- PNG-files, fax images etc.) additional costs based on applicable per hour rates may apply. | |
| The same goes for files that need extensive formatting upon translation (e.g. MS Office files with many tables, text boxes and/or images). | |
| 4. Definitions | |
| CAT | Computer-Aided Translation – Not to be confused with Automatic or Machine Translation (MT) |
| End-user | Anybody ordering a service, except translators (Ref. translator) |
| Extensive formatting | Formatting that requires more than half an hour work |
| HETRA-account | HETRA accounts are for clients who frequently require short translations and/or other services form HETRA. The intention with such an account is to decrease the client’s bank fees. The account balance reflects HETRA receivables and is due quarterly and, if no other agreement exists, whenever the amount reaches or exceeds NOK 2000.00. |
| Ordinary order | An assignment for which an order confirmation is issued and received at least five workdays before its implementation |
| Over-night | From 19.00 to 24.00 and from 00.00 to 09.00 CET |
| Rush order | An assignment that requires immediate implementation, i.e. within twenty-four hours upon order confirmation |
| Translator | Translators and translator communities/agencies/companies |
| Weekend | Saturday, Sunday and (banking) holidays |
| Workdays | Monday to Friday from 09.00 to 19.00 CET |
